Welcome to Elstree Calling, which is my unofficial website dedicated to Elstree Studios, a busy film & TV studio facility which is located in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, close to central London.
Elstree Studios has long been the home of some of the very best film & television productions made in this country and my website celebrates its long history. I update this website on a regular basis with news and features on the past, present & future of Elstree Studios, so please remember to keep checking back.

Big Brother 10 News:
Big Brother 10 is currently taking place at Elstree Studios. This marks the eighth summer run of the reality TV show to be made at the studios.

Mollie Sugden:
The actress Mollie Sugden, who worked at Elstree Studios on the film version of Are You Being Served? in 1977, has sadly passed away aged 86.
Michael Jackson:
A report on the website of the Borehamwood & Elstree Times has confirmed the news that Michael Jackson, who passed away in Los Angeles in June, had been provisionally booked to rehearse at Elstree Studios ahead of his tour dates at London's O2 arena. To read the article, please click here.

Best-known for being the man inside the Darth Vader outfit in the first three Star Wars films, Dave Prowse MBE kindly allowed me to interview him by telephone in 2007 about his memories of working at Elstree Studios. Noel Edmonds is to return to Elstree Studios this August to tape ten editions of Are You Smarter Than Your 10 Year Old? As reflected in the title, Noel's new prime time run of the series will see now see contestants pitted against against their own children.
