BSC Event:

Elstree Studios played host in March 2009 to one of the most important events in the UK film calendar - the British Society of Cinematographers exhibition. The exhibition featured displays of new technical equipment ranging from super HD cameras, lights, mobile HD labs, motion control, rigs, lenses, cranes and specialist camera kit including mini HD cams and robotic camera systems. Manufactures displaying their equipment included Airstar, Panavision, Red, Sony, Panasonic, Bennylite and many, many more.

Exhibitors came to the studios from all over Europe including Cmotion from Austria, Solid Grip Systems from the Netherlands and Technocrane from Czech Rupublic.

The first BSC Show took place in 1993 and was subsequently staged at various locations. However, as the show has grown in size, The George Lucas Stage at Elstree Studios has become the preferred venue and since 2002 has been staged there annually. Over the two days that the most-recent event took place more than 1,000 people attended the show which again proved to be a great success.
